Programme Overview

NUS Quantitative Finance is one of the few undergraduate programmes in Asia specifically designed for quantitative finance careers. It combines rigorous training in mathematics, statistics, and computing with finance theory — essentially training you to become the person who builds pricing models, risk management systems, and algorithmic trading strategies. The curriculum covers stochastic calculus, financial derivatives, risk management, time series analysis, and computational finance. This is not a business finance degree: it is mathematically intensive and sits within the Faculty of Science. Singapore’s position as Asia’s leading financial centre makes this programme exceptionally well-positioned for careers at banks, hedge funds, and fintech firms. If you are strong in mathematics and interested in financial markets, this is a more technical alternative to a BBA in Finance. It pairs well with a second major in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
