Programme Overview

NUS Psychology provides a comprehensive grounding in the scientific study of human behaviour and mental processes. The programme covers six core areas: biological psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, abnormal psychology, and research methods. What distinguishes this from a pure science psychology programme is its placement within FASS — you will develop strong skills in both quantitative analysis and qualitative understanding of human behaviour. The curriculum includes hands-on research training with statistical software and lab-based experiments. NUS Psychology is well-regarded for clinical and organisational psychology pathways at the graduate level. If you are considering a career in clinical psychology, counselling, human resources, or behavioural research, this is one of the top programmes in Southeast Asia. It pairs well with a second major in Sociology, Economics, or Life Sciences. Scientific study of mind and behavior with strong research methods and statistics training. Growing demand in Singapore for psychologists across clinical, organizational, and educational settings.
