Programme Overview
NUS Robotics and Machine Intelligence (RMI) is a new engineering major under CDE's Department of Mechanical Engineering, designed for the era of intelligent autonomous systems. The programme integrates mechanical engineering fundamentals with robotics, machine learning, computer vision, and autonomous navigation. You learn to design, build, and program robotic systems — from the mechanical hardware to the AI software that drives them. The curriculum includes dedicated RB-coded courses covering fundamentals of robotics, machine intelligence, planning and navigation, and robotic system design. Singapore's push toward advanced manufacturing, autonomous vehicles, and healthcare robotics creates strong industry demand. If you are excited about building intelligent machines that interact with the physical world, RMI is the most direct path. It is admitted under the common Engineering programme on OAM.
Admission Requirements
IB Diploma
- •Pass in HL Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (MAA). Admitted under the common Engineering programme.
Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level
- •H2 pass in Mathematics or Further Mathematics. Admitted under the common Engineering programme.
