Programme Overview
Mechanical Engineering is one of the broadest and most versatile engineering disciplines — it involves the design, manufacture or operation of any product or system that moves and uses or produces energy. At NUS, you’ll build on science and mathematics to learn solid and fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, control, materials and manufacturing processes. You can specialise in Aeronautical Engineering, Energy and Sustainability, Industry 4.0, or Robotics. ME graduates are valued beyond traditional engineering roles — the analytical skills you develop are sought after even in banking and finance. If you’re more drawn to the chemical process side, consider Chemical Engineering; for electronics and circuits, Electrical Engineering is the path. One of the broadest engineering disciplines, covering design, thermodynamics, manufacturing, robotics, and materials science. Graduates work across aerospace, automotive, energy, and manufacturing sectors. The programme includes substantial lab work and a capstone design project.
