Programme Overview
Electrical engineers design, build and maintain everything that uses electricity — from the smallest microchips in smart devices to power grids that span the nation. NUS Electrical Engineering, ranked among the world’s top 5 by QS, gives you a strong foundation in the physics and mathematics of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. You can concentrate in areas like Wireless Communication Systems, Microelectronic Devices, Control and Intelligent Systems, or Power and Energy, and specialise in IoT or Robotics. If you’re more interested in the software and computing side than the hardware and circuits side, consider Computer Engineering or Computer Science instead. Covers the full spectrum of electrical engineering from power systems and semiconductor devices to telecommunications and IoT. Singapore's push toward smart city infrastructure and semiconductor manufacturing creates strong industry demand. Students gain hands-on experience through lab work and industry projects.
