Programme Overview
Civil engineers plan, design and create the world around us — underground superhighways, iconic skyscrapers, smart infrastructure, and coastal defences against climate change. NUS Civil Engineering is ranked 2nd in the world and top in Asia by QS. You’ll be grounded in sustainable materials, structural design, geotechnics, smart transportation and urban policy. You can specialise in Digital Urban Infrastructure or take a Minor in Infrastructure Management and Finance. The programme prepares you for Professional Engineer registration after gaining work experience. If you’re interested in the environmental aspects of infrastructure — water, air quality, sustainability — consider pairing with or looking at Environmental Studies. Shapes the built environment through structural engineering, geotechnical design, water resources, and transportation planning.
