Programme Overview
NUS Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) is a cross-disciplinary programme that trains multidimensional thinkers — people who can analyse complex social and political issues from philosophical, political, and economic perspectives simultaneously. Unlike doing three separate majors, PPE offers a curated common core that integrates tools from all three disciplines, aiming for targeted depth in the overlap between them. The programme emphasises critical thinking, applied reasoning, and strategic analysis. PPE is a direct admission programme under CHS that requires an interview — it is selective and looks for students with strong analytical aptitude and genuine interest in social and political phenomena. Graduates pursue careers in public service, policy analysis, consulting, banking, journalism, and research.
